A month later...

Been so busy with my new job I haven't had any time in the shop for about a month now:frown:. This pen was finished just before I started back to work I just hadn't gotten around to posting it yet. It's a Black Ti Jr. Gent II with my own burl casting blank. The wood is Red Mallee and it has a CA finish thats MM to 12000 and polished with PlastX. Sorry for the bad pics, I was trying a new setup and I don't think it captured the pen well enough. I tried to make the white somewhat transparant so the wood would kinda ghost through it, it's a cool effect but you can't really see in on camera. Thanks for looking and for any comments made. Btw....for those who are getting one of the free boxes of blanks I had offered up, I put one of these blanks in 1 of them. Only difference is the wood is a different type of burl. I don't know who's getting it though so enjoy!

It really cool...it's like looking through fog at the peice of burl underneath. It depends on the depth of the resin so it's not like that all over, just in certain areas.

That pen looks great! Congrats on the new job. I feel your pain. Time out of the shop seems like Hell.
