Picked up a few of these from Jim at Woodpenpro. He's on the island so the wife scheduled a time to meet and pick up some supplies. Of course she had already been on the website and had a shopping list written out. I came out lighter in the wallet that day.

Here's a couple of Jim's kits hat I've made. One for the wife, one for a Chief Warrant Officer that's retiring.

Curly Koa with a CA finish.

Ok Jason, this is the third of your posts that I've seen, and I'm not convinced that you're at all new to pen turning...

That's a very nice pen. Great F&F and nice pairing!

Thanks, man.

I last used a wood lathe in '92 while in high school. I had a small Sherline for metal work but sold it years ago.

On April 6th I made my first pen and April 11th I bought a lathe.

So it's been three weeks today. I'm already looking into casting and such. I like turning, but (no offense to anyone here) simply turning wood down to fit a pen isn't creative enough for me. I want to do more.

Beautiful Pen, Jason.
Superb Blank, well matched to a Fantastic Kit.
If you want to be challenged, then Kitless pens may satisfy your desires.
Then you will only be limited by your imagination.
