Do you have any 'take' on the durability of the electroplated gold ?

Is the solute expensive ? What is its chemical name, and where do you get it ?

Is the solvent highly acidic or basic ?

I would love to try some gold electroplating ... is it safe for home use outdoors ?
Hi Mal,

Sorry for delay in responding. If you are interested in gold plating, I would start with a GoldSmith kit that comes with a rectifier, is safe, easy to use and one of the most durable finishes that I have ever tried. It comes with attachments for fine detail work. Gold Plating solutions can also plate it for you.

Also sold by same on Amazon
