What's the J series? Looks like a pen I wrote about in an article several years ago. Don't remember calling it the J series. Oh well....

Don, I think it is from something you wrote up. I have been using Russ Fairfields videos for my pen making education and he calls it the J series.

Actuall I call it the challenge pen because I was challenged to make it by a friend whose name is Jay. Russ took the pen and made a change or two , then I made another change or two then Russ made another change or two and that went on for awhile.Ohters joined in. Russ finally made the pen twist at the nib and maybe even made it a one piece pen. Russ called the "J-line" using the J from my friend;s name, Jay (and Russ' friend also). We had fun with that pen and the many changes it went through. I;m glad you found the pen and are having fun with it. Thanks for sharing.
