Here is my first attempt at the long wood or modified slim line. The top one is Buckeye Burl with a redwood center band and the bottom is Maple Burl with a Cocobolo center band. the Buckeye, i cracked, but oh well, it was the first one (now mine). these are a great way to get out of a slim line rut.

I too like what you've done with the (as someone once called it) lowly slimline. Actually, the slimline is probably the "king of kits". As you are finding out, it is a very forgiving kit and I know for sure it likes to be "dressed and disguised" and we are limited by only our imagination and creativity. Keep'em coming. We should start a new forum called "show off your slimlines" and a standard B2B slimline with kit CB should not be allowed to be posted there.[:D]
Do a good turn daily!
