I liked Dan's review of the Long Boy so much that I decided to order some and after reading a few threads on modifying the Long Boy with a single tube I decided to do that as well! Ordered some 10mm brass and cut to length. I was able to drill all the way through the blank without flipping it by mounting my Jacob's chuck and my Nova G3 chuck with pen jaws onto the lathe. Cleared the end of the blank by maybe 1/8".

Used an Angel's Wings Color Swirl blank and back painted the hole black. I was amazed that this blank started out almost crystal white and ended up with such deep and vibrant colors! Sanded through 12,000 MM before a bit of Meguiar's Plast X.
