With a great piece of Figured Walnut from Bill Young.
Sanded to 400x, buffed with Super Fine Steel Wool and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Clear Gloss Polyurethane.
This MINWAX is great stuff, no buffing or polishing required!

Hi Les...That is a great pen and finish. One does not see a lot of pens finished with polyurethane. Did you use a Minwax spray can on it? Darrell Eisner

Thanks,
Have a look at my tutorial, it should answer any questions you have.

Gorgeous looking pen, nice work! I'm curious tho, where is the tutorial you refer to?

Thanks:)

Thanks Matthew.

Wow GORGEOUS PEN!!

What Toni said.
But man this is a lot of time in your tutorial to get one pen finished, it's like 2 or 3 days between all of those coats. Nice finish, but I think I will stay with CA.
