This was my first attempt at modifying any kit other than a Slimline. There are no tubes running the full length of the pen or cap, only a 3/16" piece to hold the coupler and cap ring in place. The wood is Cocobolo. The pen is extremely light and well balanced without using the end pieces or the full tubes.

Beautiful job. I love working with Cocobolo. How is the finial attached? I really like the looks of this pen and bet it feels great to write with. Steve
