A mistake that turned out good ...

When I did this pen I inlayed three strips of simulated turtle shell into the wood blank.
All looked well and good till I cut the pockets for the spear inlays.
I got them off center and it didnt look so good no more.
After a bit of self abuse for making such a dumb mistake I added another strip of the turtle shell right along side of the existing ones ... Hey ... it worked.
with the strip being twice as wide the spear inlay now was in the center and the world was right again.
Almost scraped this one!
