Here is the pen that took 2nd to John's feathers. I was shocked to see that it did so well. These are mini cones (not sweetgum) which I cast in a transleucent combination of reds and browns. Had some small voids to fill and finished with CA. Thanks for looking!

Well the reason it did so well in the competition is that it is a beautiful pen. Very pretty and interesting to boot. Very nice job and thanks for sharing.

Eric, every time I see one of your pens I have to make a note of another one I want to try. I love everything about this pen. The colors, the cones and the rich elegant look. It's a first place in my book!

Eric,

Great looking pen and blank. I bought one of your cone blanks at the last MPG. Maybe seeing yours will give me some inspiration to get it turned:biggrin:.

Eric, that is a beautiful pen, I can not imagine the difficulty the judges had in deciding whose pen was the best, there were some fantastic pens in the contest, and so many were or should be considered the Best of the IAP, so many were.

Great pen. I have a bag of those tiny cones and have been wanting to figure out what to do with them. I don't have a pressure pot, so perhaps I should send them to you!
