TattooedTurner traded me some mini pine cones for some sweet gum pods. This is the first time I used a blank Alumilite dye with the polyester resin and I also added some #663 Pearlex Silver which looks more like graphite to me and #664 Pearlex Super Bronze. I'm pleased with the casting and the mini pine cones contrast well with the black.

Very nice casting of the mini pinecones! They look great against the black resin. You don't see many mechanical pencils being turned. Personally, I prefer pencils for jotting notes or drawing diagrams. Maybe I'll turn myself one!

Nice work Steve! Yours came out far better than my first effort with the mini pine cones. They look great against the black, I'm probably going to steal that idea!
