I just finished this pen with ca after buying a dead center, after asking you guys where to get them. This is a traditional rollerball kit that requires a 6 inch blank. It is a snap kit and the first one i did broke but the snap mechanism was not done properly, This pen is one of my first perfect pens. I got this blank from Alphageek and thought it was pretty cool, almost looks like curly maple. I hope it turns more red! I tried my 4 coats of med on big side and 5 coats of thin of cap side. I like to use thin better now. MM to 12k then hut plastic polish. Hope you enjoy! Once again thanks to Alphageek. The other pic is a p-heart flower holder that i finally finished after like 5 months.

This is a great looking pen! Smooth simple lines that are pleasing to look at. I imagine it has a good balance as well just looking at it. Sweet!

You did a GREAT job on that pen. Not to pick, but is it milkwood, instead of milkweed?

Yes - this is milkwood.. When I dropped a package off, I filled in some of the empty space off with a few nice blanks out of my collection.

This one would probably have been the Red Milkwood. It would have been from Zambezi Exotics (from Keith aka Visexp on here!). I got a great sampler pack at one point, this was in there. If you want more detail on the wood, he has a great writeup here: http://zambeziexotics.com/bowl-blanks-red-milkwood-c-2_11

James, That is a beautiful pen by virtue of it's simplicity and profile that flows well! Thanks for showing. Regards, Doc
