This is a blank sent to me by Ken Frisbie. (this is after he and a number of other turner friends got together and bought me a new lathe since I have been without for a while). He made micarta blanks with royal palm resin, then cut that up and segmented with cocobolo. My turning skills are rusty but think it came out ok. Used blo and mercury flex thin but keep the build up low as wanted to retain the "grippy" feel of the micarta.

Excellent Pen Jason,
A wonderful Tribute to Ken and the circle of Friends.
What a Magnificent Gesture they Made, It made my Eye's well, and I had to do some swift swallowing.
Assistance, Help and Friendship like that, Regrettably, is becoming rare these days.
Thank you for Posting.
Brian.
