I'm not sure how I feel about these blanks yet. I used silver tubes. Next time I will reverse paint black as was recommended to me by the blank maker.

I think it's a great looking pen, Dan! I've been messing around with the gold, silver and copper metal flake for a while now. It's a tough nut to crack. I keep getting too much flake and not enough resin… big problem when it comes time to finish it.

I like the blank a lot:)

Looks good Dan. Looks better than my attempt. I have a few of those blanks. I had fits coming up with a paint color/combination to paint the hole. I came up with a couple of mixes that would have looked good, but then the thickness of the paint (I had added some stuff to it) became a problem . . . For my next attempt with these (which may never happen) I was going to glue some type of gold or silver foil/tape to the tube and drill the hole a smidge larger.

Dan those are sweet looking pens. I've not made any with ask copper. Like you I'm not sure about the silver tubes but really like the razor with black. I've cast a lot of blanks out of a mixture of gold, silver and copper leaf as well as all gold and all silver. I've tried reverse painting different colors and always come back to black. It gives the most illusion of depth. Nonetheless these pens are flawless and someone will live them! Keep up the fantastic work.
