While at the Utah symposium earlier this year I also spent the day at the Craft Supplies open house. They had a couple of 5 gallon buckets filled with various euro centerbands. I bought a hand full (10 cents each and now wish I had purchased more) and put them in my shop and forgot about them. While looking for another pen part I found them and here is how I used a few of them.

Nicely done, Sir!

I bought a good many of those and other bands on a closeout sale. I had also forgotten about them until you posted this picture. Your pen looks so good I've been inspired to go use the bands.

Thanks, the wood is mesquite.

Thanks to all who looked at the pen and especially to those who commented. The pen is nothing special but I think it is a nice looking slimline. The lower barrel is longer than the top and the top is larger of course to accept the CB. it makes for a nice dress up for a chrome slimline for only ten cents.

Nice pen! What is the wood?
