Mesquite----The hard way

This Mesquite Burl is worny---spalted--rotten---Both pics are the same pen.
I just got these cast and turned today. I have a batch in blue pearl resin sitting in the shop ready to be turned in the morning. I like the Red but the blue should be even better.
