Here's a mesquite pen I did recently. This is made from some wood we found along a little country road. Only had to fill one small worm hole in this one. Did it by making a paste of yellow wood glue and some of the mesquite shavings then pressing it into the hole. (Had to work kind of quick since it was nearly 100 degrees that day.) Let it set until the next day, then sanded all the extra off. Couldn't really even tell there had been a hole! I've used that method several times since. Works pretty good!

Finished this one with EEE cream and Crystal Coat.

Definitely looking good! Personally, I like backfilling wormholes with CA no sawdust. It leaves behind a sort of highlight of the area and draws attention to it, but I have yet to have it come out looking bad. I will use sawdust and CA to repair tearouts and such, though, and it does make a good filler.
