A friend asked me to make a pen from a souvenir from the refurbishment of the Mayflower replica. The wood has a stamp of the Mayflower in full sail with wording indicating that the piece is from the Oak Deck of the Mayflower.
Pens are JR II Statesman with Rhodium and gold. Sanded to 1200, 12 coats of CA sanded to 1200, MM through the set, Polished and coated with Ren Wax.

Very nice pens! The Jr Statesman is one of my favorites. I could see having them engraved to indicate they come from the Mayflower.

Wow! I'm sure I stepped on that decking at one time or another with the class trips we used to take to see the Mayflower. Nice pen with very cool history.

Very nice looking pen!!! And a blank with an interesting history, that adds that much more appeal to the pen. I can see your friend will definately appreciate that pen.
