i interest to know what is the preferrred material. (if any)
we are playing around with some materials and one has got us smiling.
has anyone tried plexi-glass? i have tried glass (picture showing), but this will be our first plexi-glass demonstrator pen.

thank you very much but i can't take all the credit, i had help in the nib design. it holds a good bit of ink. i was suprised how well it writes. the tip was the hardest. the goal was not to make it scratchy or too dull for writing and by our amazement it worked the first time out and writes like a fine nib.
i can't wait to start on the plexi pen.
the problem right now is finding the right pieces to use.
i was hoping someone might have tried this already and could give me some helpful hints. we are making tiny plexi screws for the pen and testing their strength will be next.
it is going to be a fountain pen with a piston filler. i am sure this is going to take several attempts before a prototype can be prensented. but this is what makes it fun.
so any suggestions would be welcome.
