We have found that rub n buff do not like each other. This blank has silver rub n buff with a CA finish. Liquitex Acrylic Gloss Varnish is compatible with rub n buff. This blank was painted Blue with Acrylic craft paint and Silver rub n buff. CA finish and micro meshed

RUB AND BUFF? what is it

Rub n buff is a colored paste in a small tube. You apply it to wood, let it dry and buff it for a metallic look. Found in craft stores.

Rub'nBuff is sort of like a guilder's paste. Metallic wax compound
that you can rub onto the surface and buff to a high metallic
shine. Comes in several colors when you can find it.

Makes some of these blanks much easier, since you can put it
on your finger (blot it on paper) and lightly touch the spinning
blank so the RnB only gets on the highlights.

Be sure to seal the rub n buff if you are applying CA as it dissolves the buff
