I had this nice Martin Luther stamp from Germany, and a nice blank of BOW so I thought it woud be neat to try to make a stamp/wood pen with them.

I was going for a deep-decoupage look to it,so lots & lots of ca coats!

This will be my pen to bring to church for taking sermon notes with.It was a fun project...something a bit different for me.

Thanks for lookin!

Steve

If you don't stop posting these cool stamp pens, I'm going to have to try to make one. Then I'll probably fail at it.

Seriously, nice pen. Beautifully polished workmanship.

How did you finish the stamp onto the pen? I tried one and the ca took all the ink off the stamp.

I painted 2 sealing coats of Mod Podge over the stamp, letting it dry good between coats, then cure a couple of days.

Works just like a regular stamp pen,it was a fun experiment/project.In all my stamp hunting,I have ended up with some pretty neat singles that now I have a way to use them up,so pretty neat.

Thanks,
Steve

I hope you give it a whirl,it's a lot of fun.Pretty addicting,though!

Here's the one I finished up tonight,it's a companion to the "Today's stamp pen" thread I posted last weekend with these jumbo flower stamps from Germany.

I'm hoping these sell someday to maybe a lady from Germany,or someone who just likes pretty flowers.I love the writing on these stamps.

Thanks,
Steve
