Turned the first pen from Mark's group purchase cocobolo. This was done from one of the blanks I had put in the "C" pile. Nice stuff! Thanks Mark!

You gotta love the richness of that cocbolo.

What did you use for a finish?

Very nice looking pen. Cocobolo is such nice wood to work with and you have done it justice. Yes please share with us what you used for finish.

Thanks guys. I used CA after the 220 sanding (without wiping the dust from the sanding) wet sanded the CA with 320 then went up through the grits to 12000 micro mesh, then Mylands Friction and a coat of Renaissance Wax.

Very nice job Carole. I purchased some of that cocobola as well. I can't wait for my pens to arrive so I can turn some of this wood. I love cocobola.
