Maple Box and Acrylic Pen

Hello!
I made this pen and box for my Sister's 30th birthday.
It is made from Birdseye Maple, Wenge and Zebrawood.

Nice pen but I really like the box. You put too much into making the pen to put it into a cardboard box . How did you make your box joints, table saw or router ?

I made the box joints using a table saw and a box joint jig.

I spent a lot of years in the military, and on one base, we had a really talented guy running the wood shop. He would make a box like that by cutting all of the parts, assembling the box then taking it over to the band saw and cutting it apart where he wanted the top to be. He would even make a serpentine cut to make the box a little fancier.
