manzanita burl /abalone inlay new pics!!!

OK here are 2 new pics with macro on, tri pod, timer and photo tent. Still have lighting problem but will post in other section for help on that. Hope this shows the Abalone better. Thanks for the input good and bad.

Looks like you didn't have it on the macro setting. Is the abalone the sort of yellowish stuff?

Abalone as in the shell. It is the stuff that pearl paint used to be made from. I took the shell and ground it into a fine powder then just CA it in the voids.

Love the material and the abalone enhancement. The shape is more bulbous than I like, though it does show off the material.

Thanks for the idea. I have a ton of manzanita that is full of cracks and I didn't know what to do with it.

Nolan,

I think you can fix the picture with software such as Adobe Photoshop. The basic pic is great! You just need to fix your white balance.

thanks Roger I was reading about that in the camera settings thought I would keep reading as this is only second time I have used camera. I tried white balance with software (windows) but couldnt get it to look as good as you did. Thanks for input.
