This afternoon I finished a customized pen for a collector in New York.
Ebonite body with a "tametame-raden-nuri". Large raden flakes polished and covered with many layers of trasparent urushi. A roll stopper in the shape of a sea snail, completely made from urushi in high relief "takamaki-e" technique. The 14 kt. gold Pilot nib was providet by the customer

Much to admire in this piece. The profile seems to be a bit more blunt or broad than many you have post. Looks very nice. The roll stop. The deeply attractive color that will only get better wth time. Double-Secret-Beautiful!
