Ishime-ji" or stone surface is a very important aspect in Japanese art and craft. Ishime-ji is interpreted by artists and craft people in thousands of differen ways. Ishime-ji is also called "ishi-hada" stone skin. I have made new stone surfaces dedicated to different stones of Japanese origin. "Kamogawa-Ishi" or Kamo-River-Stones are famous for their "maguro" jet-black stones. "Kamuikotan-Ishi", Kamuikotan-stones from Hokaido are highly appreciated for their dark green color "ao" or "midori". "Sado-Akadama-Ishi" or Sado-Island-Red stones are praised for their red "aka" Jasper colors. Blueish-black stones are well known from the "Ibigawa" Ibi-River. Best stones with purple color are the "Kifune-murasaki-Ishi from a specific place of origin in the Kamogawa.

Best,

Martin

Martin, another great round of absolutely stunning pens. Do these shown here incorporate the actual stone material sourced from the locations in the description? These are great! You should be a penmaker when you grow up.:rolleyes:

Incredible Pens Martin,
Your Blanks are so Spectacular,
The Finish is Superb, as are your Profiles and Proportions.
I love the Small Gold Rings, it sets them off Perfectly.
Absolutely Glorious.
Congratulations,
Brian.
