Hi. This is my first time playing with Mango. It was also the first time I cut my own blank. It was fun to do and love the final pen. It is finished in CA and polished. It was meant to be a gift but I think i may hang on to it for a while. Will have to turn the rest of the blanks I made.

It's quite addictive when you take the wood from standing timber(or rotting on the ground) to a blank and then turn it. Just don't get carried away, or all your time will be spent looking for that next great piece of wood.....and the lathe sits idle!


Excellent fit and the timber certain 'fits the look' for the hardware!!!

+1 on that. I work in landscaping. I'm running out of space for great "found" wood in the base/shop/ment.
