So, I got some good advice from Brooks, and a little encouragement and rescued a pen barrel's worth of the first casting I did. I had to build a box for it and a new blank by flipping a clear tote over, cutting a hole in it and feeding a hair dryer into it. I also salvaged a dead bullet to make a single barrel work out. I'm really happy with it. I poured too thin of a slab and had to glue two cuts together to make a blank, but I got it done. I has a happy.

I'm kinda surprised, I have to actively look to find the seam whete the two slabs are glued together. Ans I plan on digging the scraps back out to cast in a clear blank.
