Even harder than xcut Texas Ebony and it's a desert ironwood. In fact, it's the hardest stuff I've ever turned. It's xcut Chakte Viga from Big Rob on an 8mm Designer/Euro (Parker refill).

I agree Billy. I had mine finished and as I pressed it together I cracked it [:(] Great work on fit and finish. Love tghe color of the wood.

Now I know why I had such a tough time on my first try (I used this stuff). I figured out that my blow-out was from poor glue coverage and taking too much of a bite. Great job.
