Mammoth ivory turns pretty well (sharp tools) needs a good pre machining inspection for cracks, it also finishes well.

mammoth ivory does have a lvely aroma when turning (burnt hair smell??)

Great job of using the leftovers up-----helps keep the bottom line higher.
Plus it's truely one of a kind and would command a good price.

Now that's what I was thinking about. As a matter of fact, it was that exact kit. Your laminated design would hide that black stripe at the bottom of the cap barrel.
