A good friend asked me to make a pen for his oldest son as a High School Graduation gift. He selected the pen and wood and told him I would only charge for the materials. He then offered to make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Fund for my labor. So I made him this pen to accompany the one I made for his son. I left the wood unsealed with a Renaissance Wax finish, he doesn't like a shiny finish. Hope you like it and comments are welcomed.
P.S. This Thuya Burl may be my last. It triggered several days of allergies and headaches. Just carrying it in my pocket for a few hours messed me up. This and Moradillo (Bolivian Rosewood) are some of my favorite woods but are now off limits. I work with Cocobolo and other "problem" woods without issue.
Cheers,
Danny
