This was a pen that I actually was surprised :eek: at how well it turned out! It is a majestic in rhodium & black titanium plating.
Material is stabilized, double dyed blue maple burl. 20 coats of CA finish.

Wow, 20 coats! What thickness of CA do you use for all those coats? Then how do you sand it off? It's a beautiful finish so I'm curious what your technique is?

I use thin CA. 1 set of 10 coats, dry sand to 600, then 2nd set of 10 coats, then dry sand to 600. Then start the micro mesh at the corresponding grit and wet sand to 12000 and buff.

Beautiful pen. When sanding each set to 600, what grit do you start with? With 10 coats of CA, I wouldn't think anything lower than 320.
