Mahogany with acrylic insert

I finally decided to try the 45 degree acrylic insert. I was distracted by a severe toothache I was trying to keep my mind off of, so some finer details ended up botched. But, the concept panned out well anough and when I am in better shape I can do a better one.

Yeah, it is right now. I think it's an abcess and after 48 hours of antibiotics and ibuprofen it seems to be letting up a bit. Glad I had something to focus on besides the hurt. The pens I distracted myself with yesterday were good, too.

I'm hoping I get a hookup on antler sometime soon. Some of my co-workers hunt, and they toss out antlers that are too small for display purposes. I have asked them to save them next time.
