Love this pen, but what's the wood?

I finished this pen today and I really like the wood. Problem is I can't remember what the heck it is. Here's the pen with a blank of the same wood. Can you guys help me figure this one out? What did I just turn?

Maybe it's Desert Iron Wood? Second thought, maybe Amboyna. I'm not very good at IDing wood.

I am 100% certain that that timber Is Hoonoze. Most probably from the base of the trunk near the roots.[][][]

Very Nice Pen. The wood certainly looks like Honduras Rosewood Burl.

Did you get a nice spicy smell when you were drilling and turning it?.

Great looking wood,possibly cocobolo?
I know most doesn't look quite like that,
but I have turned a few exceptional pieces
that looked similar.
Is the pen a clicker?

The pen looks like a great piece of cocobolo, but seeing the blanks I'd likely guess a great piece of bocote. Either way you've done a great job.

Great pen, look at the third photo in thios post, looks a lot like Hondurian Rosewood Burl for me too.

My vote is for amboyna. Nice pen.

Could be Amboyna Burl - it has a certain, slightly peppery, but not unpleasant smell. So if you recognized that smell, it is Amboyna.

Amboyna sorta smells like roses to me; I find Rosewood is less aromatic; and DIW usually smells worse than dirt.
My guess is Rosewood
