Using a 9mm X .75 tap and die, have a lot of slop in the threads. Tried making the male end .350-.360 and drilling the female end with a P bit or a 8.2mm drill. Still having issues any suggestions.

What material are you threading? Are you using a 1 inch round adj die? Is it High speed steel? What are holding the die and tap with?
I would cut the tenon .348 and drill the hole 8.3 (.327) for my normal threading of that size.
If you have an adj die it may be closed to much and cutting the threads to small. It may be your shearing the top of the threads on the tenon. Pictures of your set up and results would help.

Are you using any kind of lubricant on your die or the material when you are cutting the threads?

A .5 pitch has less tolerance than a .75 pitch. Its even easier to have problems like your having.
If thats an acrylester blank that your having problems with its probably chipping the tops of the thread. Making the tenon larger than 354 will make it worse.
