I haven't been on here in a long time, but I recently started lurking again. I hadn't turned any pens for the last 6 months or so, then had a possibility of having a booth with my wife at an arts and crafts show (she does Renaissance costuming) so I cranked out 11 pens/pencils in 3 evenings. Unfortunately no one showed up, because the advertising was minimal. So of course I sold nothing. I did end up giving one to my nephew as a late birthday present, but am now sitting with unsold pens.

I got all the kits from woodcraft, because I didn't have much time.

Comments welcome on all aspects

A very nice collection indeed. Sorry about the show results but at least it got you back in the shop. You now have a fine start on inventory for the next show. Great job on the pens!

After posting the pics on my facebook, I had someone from my church say they might order one to give to their attorney. Here's hoping.

When do they hold the meetings, I could probably make it to either one, though Dayton would be a lot easier.

Nice kilt!

Oh yeah, the pens are nice, too! I especially like the spalted maple ones but that El Grande is very nice!

But what is a "mini euro"? You're right, they do look alike, but I'm not sure I've seen a kit like that.

You build good pens. You can sell them easily. Remember, and I learned this from these people, that the customers come to see what is advertised. My wife does fine art oil paintings that sell for 2K +, and I sell my little pens along side her. When her art does not sell, my pens do. When her art sells, I am the third wheel. We balance each other out.
