Just finished this one yesterday for a lady I know. It's a custom-made PR blank from Dawn (PR Princess) at exotic blanks, on a Gold Ti Jr. Gent kit with a casein finial.

I "tuned" the FP tip by doing a bunch of figure 8's on the back of a piece of sandpaper (which is kinda rough like brown paper bags from the grocery store) and it made the cheap nib write super-smooth.

Next upload will be my first kitless pen. I've almost spent enough money on dies and taps and die holders etc. :)

Sorry for the crappy color on the pix. I'm too busy with other stuff to set up a proper light box.

With the title you gave the topic, I was expecting one of those tiny Lipstick pen kits things with a fountain pen nib...but it's just the color of the blank.........WHEW!

So you did figure '8' writtings....that really worked? I've heard that works, but figured the amount of writting you'd have to do would be a PITA....hours-n-hours to get something better.

The color is eye catching, your customer should really appreciate that one! And the closed end looks great!!!

Wow that is a beautiful RED! very nice looking pen, I like the casein button it adds a good break way from the beautiful red.
This Princess lady sure does some nice things for us, she and her semi grumpy hubby get my vote every time, I love dealing with them
(jk) Ed. were it not for Ed Brown "Ed4copies" and Ed Davis "YOYO Spin" we'd still be in the dark with acrylics and resins I think.
