OK Gang....evedently the pen turning is coming along better then the pictures I take of them. Lets try this one. Anyone identify the wood?

I agree with Fred in OK. It's lighter than most afzelia I've turned, but if it's not afzelia, it missed agood chance.[]

It looks kinda like a orange padauk to me. But hey, I aint no wood specialist!

It's low grade Afzilia Xlay with with an over exposed photo. If I look really close I can make out the crocodile grain but it does not cover the blank like the top grades.
