I just found some pieces of burl that I'm afraid I can't identify and felt that it shouldn't go to waste. The center band is a piece of water buffalo horn scrap, found in the bottom of a tackle box, don't ask me why. The end accents are left overs from a thin piece of pink ivory cut from a thin 1/4" thick piece left over from a pen I made for my grandmother. The laminated cross consists of cherry veneer sandwiched between walnut both of which were peeled from some furniture that was left outside on the corner for pick-up on "big trash day". The whole thing was finished with CA. Sorry about the poor photography, my next project is to make a light box.

Best wishes to all!

Bryan,
Interesting that you would post this pen! I'm working on one now that I'm calling, "Loose Ends" because it is made with all of my leftovers. Well done.
