Well here are my Le Roi pens a little late. I had these finished a few weeks ago but had them packed up due to our recent move. As part of the deal made with Smitty we are to send back one pen. I am going to let Smitty pick the pen he would like for his collection.
Overall this kit is now my favorite of this line. The 3/8 tube does allow for some extra meat on the bones when turning. I never had a problem with blowouts in the past on a regular sierra except for inlace acrylester. I just like being able to durn these down and not worrying about hitting my centers (I TBC and there are no TBC bushings for these so I have to mic them down). As with the other Le Roi lines the components feel good in the hand and are of great quality. Ive been watching the store looking for these to come in so I can get more.
From Left to Right
Gold Cast Desert Ironwood, Russian Olive, Red/Pink swirled Brooks blank, Bloodwood, Pecan (some curl), Jatoba/Brazilian Cherry, Purple Acrylic Acetate, Cholla, and Cherry Burl.
Comments and Critcism always welcomed.
