I received a package of Tulipwood blanks for Christmas and decided to turn myself a Pen & Pencil Set with them. I think they came out well and look pretty nice with the Black Enamel hardware.

I also turned my first 2 bottle stoppers, I hope you don't mind my posting them here.

Nice looking pen and pencil set. Good to see the stoppers as well (the wife bought me some of the kits and I guess I'm going to learn that soon!). The design of the first stopper has quite a nice balance to it.

Really nice pens. One caution on the silicon stoppers though. Sometimes they will break off of the wood. I found that the chrome stoppers work extremely well and also sell better.

Thanks for all teh kind words, the Box Elder stopper has already sold.
The Pen & Pencil are for myself, so they aren't for sale and people seem to like the Cherry stopper's shape, but feel it is a little too small.

If anyone gets the chance to turn Tulipwood, you will definitely be pleased, not only with the turnability of the wood, but th enice aroma it has when you machine it!
