These are the 2 latest pens .
The fisrt is a chrome Cigar pen in African Blackwood and the second is something that I was just playing around with , Cherry with Rosewood CB

Looks good! If you had made the 2nd pen from the same wood as the cigar, you'd have the great Tootsie Roll Pen! Did you just use a parting tool for the bead look?

No , I used a 1/8" skew . Plunge it in point first then round it off with the same tool .
The experiment was to see if I could get a burn line at the joints of the Cherry and the Rosewood .

Good looking pens. Like the cherry - don't bother with the "tootsie roll" idea. I did it in a comfort grip (see my album). It gets a lot of lookers but I'm STILL toting the thing around a year later!
