Very nice! I am not a fan of the background in your pic, at least for the purposes of us seeing the pen in all its glory.

Thanks to all. The black backround is there because it
contrasted well with the pen. Used the ebony and brass
to match the bands colors and top. Sanded it down to
3000 grit with a 12000 grit final high speed burnish then
Mylands friction polish at high speed. Love that Amboyna[/font=Andale Mono]

A really good looking pen. I am curious as to how you got your doggie to sit still long enough to take that picture :)

I do see where it hid somewhat, the detail at the finial end - and clipped a bit of detail from the nib end, but we all know what a nib looks like, right?

My question is what light source did you use for the major reflection the full length of your pen. My only criticism is that had the reflection highlight been thinner, one could better see that beautiful wood.

Still am curious what you used for the highlight source.

Regards,
Jay

Im speachless so I'm not going to say anythig at all...[)]
I have to add that there is not one thing I don't like about your pen. At all...
I do have a question. Do you expect the finish to last long after daily use? What is your experience with it?

I have problems with CA so I must be very careful breathing
the fumes. I have not tried finishing them with CA for that reason.
The finish holds up OK and a little Pledge brings the luster
back up. The light source was a standard light bulb.
Thanks for all the compliments.
