I'm not a big fan of most 'kitless' pens, but this one is awesome.

I'll prefer the metal lathe. It is so much easier to make parts to an exact size, and super smooth, too. No ripples or slips of the gouge.

I like it a lot:biggrin: I had a few hiccups here and there, but seem to have gotten over the first few humps.

I did take one:

It's the LMS 8.5 x 16. It was on sale a few weeks ago, so I took the plunge. I was planning to wait until sometime this month, but I'm not exactly known for my patience
