275 pens, 28 keychains, and 5 bottle stoppers. Leaving for a big show tomorrow, expecting 10,000+ in attendance. I know the picture is lousy, but it's the quantity, not the quality that counts right? Or did I get that backward?

WOW! and I've spent 3 weeks of vacation (out of the last two months) just to churn out around 50 pens... I can't imagine how one person could make so many in such a short time. You must have been killing it AND burning the candle at both ends!

Holy cow man! You just proved to me that even though I do some shows, I am still a hobbiest!! I don't think I've made that many in the last 2 years!

I'm with the rest, I am lucky to do 10 a week! When I am trying hard! Good luck!

I was turning anywhere from 10-14 hrs a day. I enlisted all the help I could get from my family (wife and sons, we homeschool). They helped with drilling blanks, sorting parts, labeling pens, etc. Not all of them are up to the quality I would have liked (3-4 coats of CA for the slimlines, 12-15 for the higher end stuff) but I have been so busy over the summer and I needed to refill inventory for this show. We're 1 day in and we've only had 1 sale. In all honesty, if this show goes poorly, I will pretty much have to leave the pens behind and get back to all the other streams of income that are actually producing lately. I did over $40,000 gross in the first 3 years of pen turning, and have done less than $3,000 in the last 12 months.
