A friend of mine is quite the civil war buff and even farther over the edge than I am (can ya believe that??) so when ha asked me to make a pen for him my
reply was "yes",mostly because I wondered what he had in mind.
Knowing his stand on brain cells and how they're over rated I asked "what do you want"? Like a child talking to Santa there came a gleam in his eye," A cannon" ( I edited the more colorful response between A and Cannon)
I hope he likes it and settles back into his Cheech and Chong mode.LOL

Great idea and it looks good. If he wants another make it from an M3 Damascus blank and if you add a small pair of trunnions a little gun carriage can serve as a pen stand.
