One of my good customers has a small sawmill, and brought me some odds and ends of wood this fall. I made him an Aero out of Lilac previously gratis, and he ordered these four from me. Just a quick pic, but from left to right they are:

1) Gun Metal Graduate in Spalted birch, stabilized with Cactus Juice.
2) Gun Metal Graduate in Lilac.
3) Platinum Mesa in Elm.
4) Gold/Chrome Mesa in Lilac.

Nothing special about the pens, but I thought they were a nice assortment of grains and colors. My favorite was the Elm. The colors and patterns just popped after it was finished. I may make one like that for myself.

The birch was not one contiguous piece, the section I cut up was not long enough. The colors were not actually as different as the picture looks. I'd never seen birch with patterns in it like that, it's pretty neat.
