Here are the last 3 pens I made for Christmas. I just delivered these this morning. They are for a previous customer who wanted a set of pens for his 3 sons. They are all Jr Statesmen (the pens not the sons) made from Tru Stone, blue lapis, red with gold matrix and black with gold matrix.

Wow! Great looking pens. I was checking out the Tru Stone blanks WC just started stocking here in ATL. Wondered what they would look like turned. Now, thanks to your post, I know and will be back to get a few.

Hi Bob,


Turning tru stone is a lot like turning acrylic but MUCH harder. Of the three here the blue was by far the hardest. I had to stop and sharpen my spindle master every few minutes. The red was pretty soft. The first blank blew out on the drill press.
