Nice! Nice! I love the way that this spices up even beautiful wood. I am getting into segmenting on a near minimalist scale. Your picts are what I would like to achieve with the base wood and apointments. It is like spice in food, just the right amount makes all the difference.

how do you get the laminations so thin? and are they inlaid or actually glued together like that before turning?

Andrew, Kirk, Very simple; glue paper pattern to slightly oversize blank, cut along lines, sandwich lamination between pieces glue, clamp and let dry. Once dry cut again along other line, sandwich lamination between pieces, glue, clamp and let dry. Once dry drill and turn blank as usual.
