Warning! The finish on this pen is really poor. When I did the CA finish I did not careful clean the pen, which led to the inclusion of a lot of little white flecks sealed under the CA.

I made this pen as a personal experiment, a kind of proof of concept for me. The laminations were cut using only a lathe, a drill press and careful measuring tools. I think the result is interesting, but not entirely satisfying. This definitely needs some refining, or at least some more (any?)thought on my part.

The wood is wenge and bloodwood, again not a great choice on my part but I had odd length pieces as scrap. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Sorry for the poor photos. I just got a little frustrated with the finish, I'm going to have to disassemble the d**n thing and re-do the finish from scratch. I'm leaving town for a few weeks to finalize the adoption of our son so it is low on my "to do" list for the next few weeks. Here is a photo using my home-made light box:
